Hope from John Ellis
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports about 24,000 babies are stillborn in the United States each year.
In 2017, at 35 weeks into Elisabeth Naff’s pregnancy she lost her son John Ellis.
Since then, the Naff family has worked tirelessly to bring awareness to stillbirth and raise funds for local hospitals and other organizations that provide helpful resources.
This Saturday, the Naff family is hosting the ‘Hope from John Ellis benefiting One Wing Foundation’ banquet.
Elisabeth says she hopes through this event they are able to lend a helping hand to those families suffering a loss. “For us it’s very personal and if I hear about anyone else going through it of course I want to reach out to them and let them know they have support and that they aren’t alone. Maybe offer some resources that will be helpful to them in their time of grief and let them know if we can survive it, they can.”
Saturday’s event kicks off at 6 p.m. and will conclude at 10. It will feature a buffet, silent auction, and live music.
