Hope Academy is Expanding

The school that was once destroyed by Hurricane Katrina and rebuilt a year ago is already expanding.
Hope Academy in Gulfport will soon begin construction on an additional pre-k building just across their parking lot. Crews are already on site clearing the land. The building will hold multiple classrooms and allow for Hope Academy to enroll more students than ever before.
Director of Administration Rachel Rath tells News 25 the school is excited to continue growing. “We are so excited to be expanding our campus for the preschool program at Hope Academy. We’re about to start construction on a brand new facility that’s going to measure about 3,200 square feet. We’ll have four new classrooms for our preschoolers to enjoy. We’ll have about 60 to 70 more spots for students as a result.”
In 2014, Hope Academy enrolled 40 students. For the 2017-2018 school year they hope to welcome 120 students through their doors.
