Honoring organ donors and recipients on National Donate Life Day

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Hospitals across the Coast hosted events honoring organ donors and donation recipients.

Singing River Health System employees at the Gulfport, Pascagoula, and Ocean Springs hospitals all marked Donate Life Day with ceremonies.

Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency officials were on hand at these ceremonies stressing the importance of organ, eye, and tissue donations.

Memorial Health system all marked Donate Life Day with a ceremony as well.

Anyone can be a potential donor regardless of age, race, or medical history.
