Homicide investigation underway in Biloxi

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)-The Biloxi Police Department is investigating a homicide in the Keesler Circle area.

On Saturday, July 19, Biloxi PD received a phone call requesting a welfare check of a residence in the area. The caller reported not having any contact with the resident for several days.

Biloxi patrol officers responded to the area and spoke to the reporting person. Officers entered the residence, where they located a deceased person. During the search, officers found evidence suggesting that a crime had been committed.

Biloxi Criminal and Crime Scene Investigators responded to a scene in an attempt to further investigate. During the course of the investigation, a person of interest was identified, but no arrests have been made at this time.

The investigation is ongoing, but Biloxi PD says the incident is believed to be an isolated incident.
