Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church holding international bake sale this weekend

The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Biloxi is having their international bake sale this weekend.

For over 50 years, the church has sold their baked goods just in time for Christmas. The bake sale raises general funds for the church. It is the only Greek Orthodox Church in the state.

Originally, church members only baked goods from traditional Greek recipes, but within the past ten years, they’ve included other Eastern European delicacies. Church President George Yurchak said, “You don’t have to go to Russia or Hungary to experience the taste of this food. You just need to come to Holy Trinity and savor the delicious pastries that we have.”

Bake sale participant Maria Loukatos said, “We started in November baking and we’re still baking. They’re homemade. The ingredients are pure. You can’t taste anything better.”

The bake sale takes place on church grounds on Friday from 12 to 6, Saturday to 10 to 5, and Sunday 1 to 4.
