Hockey at the Coliseum: Carolina Thunderbirds vs. Columbus River Dragons
On Tuesday, 4,300 tickets were out for tonight’s Biloxi Pro Hockey Game, the second of three regular season neutral site games to be played at the Coast Coliseum.
As of today, at 4 p.m., that number had jumped all the way to 6,300 tickets, setting a new Federal Prospects Hockey League Record and that’s without Biloxi even having a home dog in the fight.
Carolina Thunderbirds taking on the Columbus River Dragons.
Thunderbirds take this one 4-3 in overtime.
Hockey fan Billy Ocean said, “Ladies and gentlemen, we here here live on a Friday night with some diehard Seawolves fans. Sir, what is your favorite part about a Seawolves game tonight?”
Hockey fan Ricky Tumbleweed said, “My favorite part is the fighting. I want to see fights.” (“We’ve already got one. How many more do you need?”) “I think Vegas set the line at 4.5 and we’re hammering that over.”
“We’re hammering the over here tonight, folks, in the game and on the fights. You heard it here first. From some diehards, bring on the fights, baby!”
The third and final game to be played in Biloxi is set for 7 p.m. on December 30th between the Port Huron Prowlers and the River Dragons.
Tickets are on sale now and going fast.
More than 11,000 tickets sold between the first two games. Tonight’s game breaking the FPHL record by well over 1,000 tickets.
One more game to go to prove Biloxi deserves a permanent team.
