Hit and Run Arrest

A man is in custody after a bizarre hit and run last Friday in Gulfport.
Shawn Moffet of Hattiesburg faces charges of carjacking and leaving the scene of an accident which caused multiple accidents. Moffet got out of his car and laid in the middle of the highway, then jumped onto the hood and attempted to enter the car through the sunroof. He then stole the car causing multiple accidents before fleeing the scene.
He is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a $150,000 bond.
