History state assessment no longer graduation requirement in Mississippi
The State Department of Education announces the U.S. History State Assessment will no longer be a graduation requirement.
This is to set to start in the upcoming school year. All students will still be required to take and pass the high school U.S. history course to qualify for graduation.
The history assessment was the only one not required by state or federal law to be administered.
Algebra 1, biology, and English assessment will be still be required for graduation.
