Historic marker unveiled honoring First Baptist Church Biloxi’s original location

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- A new historic marker honoring the original site of First Baptist Church Biloxi was unveiled earlier this week.

The unveiling took place on May 4 at Harrison County’s Second Judicial Courthouse, taking place at the corner of Washington and Lameuse streets.

First Baptist Church’s original building from 1900 is being honored as part of the church’s 150^th anniversary celebrations.

Multiple activities are scheduled throughout May with a 150th weekend celebration taking place May 23^rd through the 25^th.

That celebration takes place at First Baptist’s current location on Popps Ferry Road.
