HII Christens Amphibious Transport Dock Harrisburg (LPD 30)
HII christened San Antonio class amphibious transport dock Harrisburg or LPD 30 at the company’s Ingalls Shipbuilding division.
LPD 30 is named after Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and will be the U.S. Navy’s 14th San Antonio class amphibious transport dock ship.
That new ship will support humanitarian assistance, disaster relief missions, and expeditionary warfare.
