Highway Chase Goes off Road
Last night a high speed chase evolved into a manhunt as a driver refused to pull over for Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Highway patrolmen deployed a spike strip down to stop the car around mile marker 41. Although the car was recovered, the suspects were not.
When the vehicle came to a stop, two black males fled into the woods on the north side of the interstate.
Officers and dogs quickly formed a perimeter around the wooded area, but the manhunt was suspended around 10 p.m. Both suspects remain at large.
