High school students in high speed chase in Harrison County

This afternoon on Old Highway 49 near the Desoto National Forest, three students from Harrison Central High School took Harrison County officers on a high speed chase.
The minors led officers on a short pursuit before losing control of their vehicle near the intersection of Old Highway 49 and Jim Kelly Road. An officer held the group at gun point until back up arrived. Additional officers, Harrison County fire and AMR all responded to the scene.
There were no major injuries and no details have been released regarding the reason the car full of minors decided to flee from officers.
