High School Softball: East Central vs. George County

On its road to the Region 8 Class 5A title, the East Central softball team swept George County in both district games.

Vancleave also swept George County in the regular season, but that didn’t stop the Rebels from extracting some third-round revenge against the Bulldogs.

This is South State and whoever wins this best-of-three series will have earned it.

George County with an early 2-0 lead before a lightning delay. But then extra innings and the Lady Hornets walk it off with the bases loaded in the tenth.

East Central wins 5-4.
