High School Boys Basketball: St. Martin at Long Beach

If you’re talking about coach of the year candidates in the high school basketball ranks, both Charlie Pavlus of St. Martin and Brandon Cobb of Long Beach are right near the top of that list.

The former lost his top seven leading scorers from a year ago and came into tonight’s head to head matchup with a record of 15-2.

The latter being 14-4 in his first season with a program that lost seven seniors to graduation and already had four more wins than last year’s team prior to tip-off.

A rematch from the first game of the season, home team Bearcats looking for some revenge from that 3 point loss.

Long Beach wins 60-57 over the Yellowjackets.
