High School Basketball: Road to Jackson

Each year only eight high school basketball teams in each classification make it to the state tournament in Jackson. This makes what Harrison Central did all the more impressive.
Both the girls and the boys teams are part of the Elite 8, after punching their tickets to the Metro on Friday and Saturday. Joining them are the Lady Indians out of Biloxi, rounding out the Gulf Coast teams still in contention for a gold ball.
All three teams play their next game on Saturday. The Red Rebels will tip things off at 1:30 while Big Red and the Red Rebelettes go back-to-back later that night.
