High School Baseball: Gulfport vs. George County

As far as high school pitching matchups go, it’s hard to do any better than the one at Gulfport tonight between Tulane signee Blake Johnson and Mississippi State commit Logan Tanner out of George County.  Now consider the fact that it’s game one of the 6A South State playoffs.

Admirals hosting the Rebels to lead off the best-of-three series, home team trying to defend its South State crown from 2017.

George County wins 2-1, setting up a potential close out game in Lucedale.
