High School Baseball: Biloxi vs. Brandon

If there was ever a high school baseball playoff series to look forward to it would be the one starting tonight between Biloxi and Brandon.

Neither team lost a district game during the regular season, setting the stage for a 6A clash that feels way bigger than the third round.

Indians coming in with just three losses on the season.

Biloxi wins 3-2.

Over at St. Martin, Yellowjackets go down in game one to Oak Grove by the final of 6-3.

Down in the 5A ranks, West Jones puts a hurting on Picayune with a 13-1 run rule in five innings.

Meanwhile, Pearl River Central staying hot against North Pike, taking game one by the final of 8-2.

In class 4A, St. Stanislaus drops an 11-1 decision in five innings, as the Sumrall Bobcats thump out 11 runs on 12 hits.

Resurrection Catholic looks to be in good shape in the 1A sector, taking a close one over Stringer in game one with a 3-2 final.

College baseball now, no mid-week games for Mississippi State and now no Thursday game either as game one between the Diamond Dawgs and Texas A&M has been postponed.

Biloxi Shuckers are still on the road, visiting the Pensacola Blue Wahoos and taking their second straight over in Florida with a 1-0 final.
