Heritage Farm Live coming to Stone County Fairground

Coming up this weekend, Stone County will tip its hat to its farming heritage.

The Heritage Farming Live event will be held at the Stone County Fairground and covered arena on Friday and Saturday.

See how life was in the early days of Stone County. Featured this year will be an appearance by Native Choctaw Indians performing native dances and playing stickball.

There also will be local craftsmen and women showing their wares such as basketweaving and blacksmithing. There also will be 10 teams demonstrating mule pulls.

The heritage farming is open Friday noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
