Helicopter crash site cleared

More than two days have gone by since the deadly helicopter crash happened in Desoto National Forrest. But the wreckage of the helicopter has just now been removed leaving behind a scarred area of broken tree trunks and snapped limbs.
News 25 was just given access to the crash site earlier this evening after the debris was removed.
Officials with the National Transportation Safety Board tell news 25 that the official results from the report could be over a year away, but if any mechanical problems are discovered with the helicopter itself the board will take action immediately.
