Heart Disease And Tooth Loss

Researchers in Sweden have found a link between tooth loss and early death in people with coronary heart disease.

The study of more than 15 thousand heart patients found people with no teeth were 27 percent more likely to have a heart attack, 67 percent more likely to have a stroke and 81 percent more likely to die from any cause, than those with all of their teeth.

Even patients with partial tooth loss faced a higher risk of these health problems.
