Healthy Kids Day at the Biloxi Town Green Saturday

The YMCA is encouraging families to come out to the Biloxi Town Green tomorrow for Healthy Kids Day.

For more than 30 years, the YMCA has used the day to educate families on how to eat healthy and have an active lifestyle.

This is the first time they’ve held the event outside of Ocean Springs.

They hope by moving the festivities to a more central location on the Coast more families will be able to come.

There will be more than 35 vendors, food trucks, a bounce house, and other activities. Health and Wellness Director Amanda Ray said, “The main goal of these is to give the families and kids the healthy tools and habits they need to continue this throughout the summer months. When they’re not in school they don’t always have the most healthy activities. So, we just want to give them the tools they need to have a happy healthy summer.”

Healthy Kids Day is a free event. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to noon tomorrow at the Biloxi Town Green.
