Health and Wellness Fair

Keeping up with health and wellness is what Virginia College officials say really saves lives.
The halls at Virginia College in Biloxi were packed for the health and wellness fair this afternoon. More than 30 vendors and representatives were on hand to educate students and university employees about products, systems, tips and tricks. Everything from health snacks to gym memberships to disease awareness pamphlets was available at the school.
Student Services Associate Tina Taylor said, “We can save one, two, three lives just by having all these resources in one spot then we have made a difference and that’s what we really want to do. That’s the purpose of the health fair is to make more people more knowledgeable about what’s going on in their body and more healthy living. We’ve got essential oils here. We’ve got just about anything you can imagine with your body.”
The fair also had free HIV screenings, flu shots and glucose tests.
