Health and Safety Fair at West Harrison High School

West Harrison High School students got the chance to learn vital, hands-on information at their annual Health and Safety Fair.
Garden Park Hospital, American Safety Institute, and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department were teaching students the importance of ATV safety, not to drink and drive and even the importance of cleanliness. The lessons learned today could save lives. West Harrison School Nurse Trisha Neumeier said, “I feel like if we can teach them one thing then we’ve done our job. There are a lot of children that don’t get this at home and we want to make sure they learn different things here at school.”
All students engaged in activities and some even learned how to do CPR and were educated about the effects of different drugs.
