Hattiesburg Zoo stops on the Coast

The Hattiesburg Zoo made a trip to the Coast Saturday afternoon to showcasing some of their reptiles and mammals.

Animals that made the trip include a box turtle, speckled king snake, and hedgehog at the Edgewater Mall.

Children and their families were educated on ways these animals support one another and contribute to further research and education.

Many kids and families say it was a treat to pet and see these animals up close and learn more about their habitats.
