Hattiesburg Zoo celebrating 75th birthday this Saturday

Hattiesburg, Miss. (WXXV)- The Hattiesburg Zoo is celebrating a big milestone.

The zoo’s 75th birthday bash is taking place this Saturday!

It’s happening from 10 AM to 4 PM that day.

One big part of the celebration is the debut of the brand new flamingo exhibit.

Around the zoo, there will be birthday-themed activities as well.

The Hattiesburg Zoo opened all the way back in 1950.

It was originally called the Kamper Park Zoo.
