Hattiesburg Police investigating dead body found near elementary school
Hattiesburg Police are investigating a dead body found near Thames Elementary School in Hattiesburg this morning.
Police said on their social media that officers were called about 7:20 a.m. Tuesday to check a report of a body is found near the school.
Investigators confirmed to the media that the person was not a student from the nearby school.
No foul play is suspected and there was no danger to students or the public, police said.
