Hattiesburg man who died in Vancleave accident identified

A 32-year-old Hattiesburg man died over the weekend in a one-vehicle accident in Vancleave.

The Jackson County coroner’s office said Nicholas Everette died of blunt force trauma after his car left the road just before 8 a.m. Saturday.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said the crash was on Old Biloxi Road. Everette’s vehicle went off the road and hit a culvert, then struck a tree. Everette died at the scene.

An investigation is under way.
