Harvard Business School recognizes MGCCC’s workforce training

A local community college has been recognized by Harvard University for being a catalyst for regional economic growth and opportunity.

Over the years, MGCCC has become the leader in workforce training on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It’s one of five community colleges being featured by Harvard Business School in their book ‘America’s Hidden Economic Engine: How Community Colleges can Drive Shared Prosperity.’

As of now, MGCCC is partnered with 32 companies to provide training to more than 11,000 workforce training completers. MGCCC President Mary Graham said, “We really look across the spectrum and want to make sure that we train individuals that reside in our district and we train them for positions that are so well needed and just so important for the Mississippi Gulf Coast.”

MGCCC is the college choice for 23,000 students annually.
