Harrison County Wreck

A felony deputy chase leaves a woman dead and a man hospitalized, after crashing their car in a high speed pursuit in Harrison County.

It began when Harrison County Sheriff’s deputies tried to stop a vehicle for reckless driving at Canal Road and Landon Road in Gulfport. According to the sheriff’s department, the vehicle did not stop, but continued traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the car on Wolf River Road — near Jason Drive, where the vehicle rolled over several times. Both people in the car were ejected. The female driver died. The passenger was transported to Garden Park Hospital. No word yet on his condition or their identities.
