Harrison County Sheriff’s Office investigating threats at West Harrison High
On May 16, 2024, Harrison County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by an unknown caller stating they had a weapon and bombs inside of West Harrison High School.
Harrison County Sheriff’s Office and multiple assisting agencies responded to the school which was immediately placed under lock down.
All students were then evacuated from both West Harrison High School and West Harrison Middle School. After a thorough search of both schools were completed by law enforcement personnel, Biloxi Police Department’s Bomb Squad responded to assist with the threat of explosives.
No weapons or explosives were located in the schools. This is an ongoing investigation.
