Harrison County Sheriff’s Office investigates alleged school threat

HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)-There will be additional security measures in place on at one Harrison County school Monday morning after social media threats circulated over the weekend.

According to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, the threats have now been deemed to be non-credible and made from outside of our area.

A social media image mentioning Creekbend made the rounds, but sheriff’s investigators say it appears the post may refer to a Creekbend elsewhere, not Creekbend Elementary and Middle School in the Woolmarket area.

Still, as an extra precaution, there will be additional deputies placed at the school.
