Harrison County Sheriff’s K9 unit looking for places to train
HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit is looking for new places to train.

The K9 unit trains every Wednesday and K9 deputies tell us that changing up their environment is a huge part of a successful training.
Training in different locations allow the K9s to practice searching new areas in different types of buildings, locating the odor of narcotics in new places with new smells.
It also benefits the handler who has to work through new spaces as real-world as possible.
