Harrison County School District resource officer honored by sheriff’s department

HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Harrison County School District is sharing one of their school resource officers has been honored by the sheriff’s department.

Deputy Christopher Duplantis was named Officer of the Month and was presented a plaque and a gift certificate.

Deputy Duplantis is an officer at Pineville Elementary School. He was recognized for helping a student who moved from out of state feel comfortable in a new environment.

Deputy Duplantis joined Pineville Elementary in February of this year and makes building relationships with students a priority.
