Harrison County School District hosts All-Inclusive Field Day
A fun-filled day in D’Iberville celebrated all types of students!
D’Iberville High School hosted its very first district-wide, all-inclusive field day. About 75 athletes from D’Iberville High, Harrison Central High, and West Harrison High competed in Special Olympic style events.
Students competed in several different events, including corn hole, under-over relays, dashes and foot races, and then wrapped up with a group kickball game!
Participating students received awards at the end of all the activities. Event Coordinator Dr. Brandy Kopszywa said, “It’s absolutely wonderful to see them shine because they can do so many things that we don’t realize, but more importantly the connections they are making with the other students. It’s wonderful to see all of Harrison County School District come together as one big family.”
The school district hopes to make this field day an annual event.
