Harrison County man indicted on child sex crime charges

A Harrison County man faces a five-count indictment for sex crimes against a minor.
The grand jury indicted 46-year-old Kippy Ladnier Jr., on one count of sexual battery, one count of touching a child for lustful purposes and three counts of child exploitation.
The indictment was sworn out on January 29, 2024. Ladnier was arrested Monday by Harrison County Sheriff’s Office. He was taken to the Harrison County jail and bond was set at $500,000.
Most of the alleged crimes occurred between September 11 and September 13, 2021, according to the affidavit, when the child was under the age of 14.
The last count, exploitation of a child by sending, or receiving pictures of a child under the age of 18 engaged in sexual acts, occurred between September 11, 2021 and April 22, 2022.
He is scheduled for an appearance in Harrison County Circuit Court at 9 a.m. Monday. He also has a hold placed on him to be returned to Jackson County jail after the disposition of the Harrison County charges.
