Harrison County Library System receives $7500 grant from Sparklight

Sparklight recently awarded a $7500 grant to the Harrison County Library System through its Charitable Giving Fund.

The fund concentrates support in many areas, including:

  • Education and Digital Literacy
  • Food Insecurity
  • Community Development

The Harrison County Library System will use the grant to purchase new children’s literacy stations that provide a safe, content-rich experience for young readers.

The library system director, Sarah Crisler-Ruskey, says the library system is thrilled to be a recipient of Sparklight’s community support.

She said the current children’s literacy stations are over 10 years old and the library was not able to replace them with the most recent budget.
