Harrison County Libraries launching ‘Libraries with a Heart’ initiative

HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Harrison County libraries are launching a new program, allowing patrons to check out blood pressure kits.

This is done with the American Heart Association, the initiative officially kicked off Thursday morning.

Library patrons will be able to check out these kits to monitor their blood pressure at home. They will also be able to check their numbers by utilizing blood pressure stations within the library at no cost.

The initiative is being done to improve heart health, prevent stroke, and allow the community to take charge of their health.
