Two structures burned to the ground on the Gulf Coast this New Year’s Eve and one of them is suspected arson.

At about 7 a.m. today, a trailer in Harrison County was destroyed in a fire and four people living next to it escaped.

The Harrison County Fire Marshal’s Office and the sheriff’s criminal investigation division seek answers in the suspected arson case.

A second fire broke out today causing minor damage to a home off County Farm Road. Two people escaped when a neighbor alerted them to the threat.
