Harrison County Fire Rescue fights woods fire
HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)-Harrison County Fire Rescue and the Mississippi Forestry Commission battled a woods fire Monday afternoon.
The fire was located off of Turner Road, north of Long Beach.
According to Fire Chief Pat Sullivan, the call came in around 1 p.m. As of 5 p.m., Chief Sullivan said crews were still working the fire, but it was controlled.
Sullivan said the fire had spread to about eight to 10 acres.
No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.
