Harrison County fire crews respond to minor storm damage

Harrison County fire crews were busy yesterday afternoon responding to calls as storms moved through South Mississippi.

In addition to reports of trees and power lines down across some local roads, two homes were struck by lightning within minutes of each other.

Firefighters were able to respond quickly and limit the damage to those homes to a minimum.

However, one of the homeowners was taken to an area hospital to be checked for smoke inhalation.
