Harrison County fire crews battle large woods fire Sunday
HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Firefighters spent hours battling a large woods fire in West Harrison County Sunday.
Harrison County Fire Rescue and Mississippi Forest Commission Crews were called to the areas of J.P. Ladner Road and 16th Section Road.
Officials say the fire started as a trash fire that got out of control.
Several homes were in danger of catching fire as the flames spread. Firefighters were able to keep the fire from reaching any homes or other buildings.
No injuries were reported.
