Harrison County escaped inmate captured

This afternoon, an inmate in Harrison County escaped while assigned to a work detail.

According to Sheriff Troy Peterson, 34-year-old Delbert Thomas Ervin the Third of Gautier was on a work detail to help clean the St. Ann Kitchen and take out trash during the church’s annual Catfish Festival when he walked off the scene and fled.

Deputies were able to locate Ervin and bring him back to custody. He is in jail for grand larceny.
