Harrison County Cold Weather Shelter
Harrison County Supervisor of District 1, Windy Swetman, announces that a Cold Weather Shelter will be open at the Kenny Fournier Multi-Purpose Center 10395 Automall Parkway, D’Iberville on Thursday, November 13th and Friday, November 14th. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. both days. This location will be a warm place for those individuals and families needing to seek shelter as this cold period passes over the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Coast Transit Authority will provide transportation on the fix route to the shelter.
This is the time for residents to check on the elderly and protect pets and plants until the cold weather passes.
Anyone wanting to donate coffee, cups, sugars, and cream can do so by dropping those items mentioned to the cold weather shelter. For questions on the Cold Weather Shelter, contact District 1 Office at 228-435-8272.
