Harrison County Chancery Clerks Office opens self-payment tax kiosks

The Harrison County Chancery Clerk’s Office announced the purchase of seven Ion Business Concepts self-serve payment kiosk machines for collecting taxes in the chancery clerk’s office.

These kiosks will be used to collect delinquent taxes. The machines also serve the Harrison County Tax Collector Sharon Nash Barnett. For a taxpayer to make payments for real property tax, personal property tax, mobile home tax, and car tag renewal.

The kiosks will help residents avoid standing in line for in-person transactions, provide them with a less time-consuming option, and let people avoid contact with others. Chancery Clerk Chief Deputy Angela Thrash said, “It’s very important. If you don’t want to be in-person transaction whether it be COVID or another related issue, you don’t have to stand in line or go to the chancery clerk office or the tax collector’s office to pay your taxes. You can go straight to the kiosks.”

Off-site locations include Harrison County’s Orange Grove Library, Long Beach City Hall, and D’Iberville City Hall.
