Harrison County Board discusses email sent without authorization
A Harrison County Board of Supervisors meeting got heated today when an issue came up about the investigation into Kent Jones.
The supervisors had a controversial item on the agenda.
Board Attorney Tim Holleman sent an email to a bond company regarding Harrison County Supervisor Kent Jones and his liability bond.
The state auditor’s office sent a letter demanding repayment of thousands of dollars that were used to turn a youth baseball field press box into a makeshift apartment.
That prompted the bond company to revoke Jones’ bond.
Members on the board expressed their distaste for the email from Holleman, saying it was sent without board approval.
Board Vice President Marlin Ladner said the board was unaware of this email and did not authorize any comment regarding the ongoing investigation.
