Harrison Central Boys Soccer: Genesis Martin signs with East Central Community College

Harrison Central boys soccer standout Genesis Martin signed a JUCO letter of intent this afternoon with East Central Community College.

The senior striker has been an integral part of one of the best runs in program history, scoring 51 goals and assisting on another 24 during his varsity career, culminating with this year’s overall mark of 13-7-4.

Martin chose East Central over Jones College as well as University of Chester in England, but that doesn’t rule out the latter for the future. “Yeah, I think the one or two years is really going to set me up for if I were to really want to do this, so I could easily go overseas and be like this is where I want to be, this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. And if they just play to my type of speed or my type of play that I want to play then that’s just what I want to do.”

Martin says the coaching was the biggest reason he chose East Central.
