Harrah’s Gulf Coast Goes “Pink” in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Harrah’s Gulf Coast is joining individuals and companies across the country to raise awareness for one of the world’s most pressing health issues facing women – breast cancer. During the month of October, casino patrons will notice a pink infusion in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, including a “Pink Zone” on the gaming floor featuring new pink Blackjack table felts. The country’s annual advocacy month for breast cancer research and prevention, galvanizes millions of men and women to bring special attention to this disease that knows no race, age, or socioeconomic status.

The introduction of pink will extend beyond the casino floor at Harrah’s Gulf Coast this year, beginning with the casino’s exterior lighting. Individuals driving along Beach Boulevard will notice the casino’s exterior illumination switched to pink. In addition, the pool and the interior of Mix & Mingle, will also take on a pink hue. Upping the ante inside the casino’s bar and lounge, guests can indulge in pink specialty drinks like the “Pink Warrior,” “Pink Plunge,” and “Tickled Pink”. Mix & Mingle will also feature the specialty shot, "Hooter Shooter." A portion of the proceeds for each drink sale will be donated to The Pink Lotus Project, a local charity.

Also joining the efforts is the award-winning Bellissimo Salon & Spa. Spa patrons can relax and feel good about pampering their toes while giving back to an important cause with a “Think Pink” pedicure. For every “Think Pink” pedicure service purchased, the spa will donate $5 to breast cancer research.

Harrah’s Gulf Coast is proud to participate in multiple fundraising and charitable initiatives in the community to further illuminate this concern, including the city’s upcoming Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K on Saturday, October 18th.
