Harper Lee Passes Away at age 89
Multiple sources from her hometown have confirmed Pulitzer Prize winning author Harper Lee has passed away.
Lee is best known for her novel “To Kill a Mockingbird” written in 1961. The author’s death comes six months after she had released the long-awaited “Mockingbird” sequel “Go Set a Watchman.” It was also announced last week that a new adaption of “To Kill a Mockingbird” would be heading to Broadway.
According to AL.com, the author had settled into her hometown of Monroeville, Alabama after a stroke in 2007. There is currently no reported cause of death. Lee was 89-years-old.
