Harlem Globetrotters to Visit the Gulf Coast

The Harlem Globetrotters spend most of their time travelling the world, but Thursday, February 19th, they’ll be in Biloxi.

The Globetrotters are back in Biloxi and bringing their high flying show to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. The Globetrotters will be honoring a "hometown hero" at each of their 310 games this year and will play a portion of each game with a special camouflage basketball. The crowd can expect the same tricks, gags, and basketball skill show they’re used to, but with the return of their longtime rivals, the Washington Generals.

Zeus McClurkin of the Harlem Globetrotters says, "This year is our 2015 Washington Generals Revenge Tour. We haven’t played the Generals in the last five years, and we haven’t lost to them since 1971, but I wasn’t born so it wasn’t my fault. This year, they’re looking for revenge. They’ve gone over seas and revamped the team. They’re looking to come at us, but it won’t happen on my watch."
