Hard Rock Casino and Back Bay Mission team up for 17th Annual Hunger Homeless Thanksgiving Meal

Back Bay Mission held its 17th annual Hunger Homeless Thanksgiving Meal.

The Hard Rock Casino donated a full spread of food including turkey, dressing, and dessert.

Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for what we have. Some of us have a lot, some of us have very little. At the Hunger Homeless Thanksgiving Meal, it’s not about material things. These people are thankful for love.

While many will enjoy Thanksgiving with friends and family, some will spend it on the street.

This is the life people experiencing homelessness live.

A Thanksgiving meal can not fill that void, but it’s the kindness of someone offering that meal that means the most.

The American dream was stripped away from Iesha Brimage after she had been living it.

Now she wants to remind people to be thankful and treat others how you would want to be treated.

“Meeting these different people, everybody has a story. Every homeless person has a story. Everybody has a story from whether you’ve been through something or not, it’s just important that you don’t treat people no certain way because you could be that person, Iesha Brimage said. “It’s just very important to love everybody. Accept your wrongdoings, just live. It’s all about starting over, helping people, and never forgetting where you come from.”

This holiday season, be kind to someone. They’ll be thankful.
